Club Statement on January Signings

Updated: Jan 26

We are pleased to announce the signing of Jay Donnelly. The former Cliftonville forward is the managers 4th January signing so far and bolsters our forward line considerably. Jay’s past is well documented and after being out of the game for nearly two years he is eligible to play football once again. Stephen McAlorum and Paddy Kelly believe in second chances and have offered Jay the chance to rebuild his career with us which the club fully back. Whilst everyone is expected to follow policies and code of conducts set by the club, the manager is in total control of footballing matters including signings and team selection. So far Stephen and Paddy have assembled an impressive squad since they took charge and yesterday’s win is now 18 out of 22 in all competitions. With the recent additions, we believe that we have a strong squad to challenge for the Ballymena Provincial Intermediate League title. Belfast Celtic is committed to providing opportunities for talented players to express their skills and abilities, where they are supported by a determined coaching squad and a caring pastor throughout both their physical and mental development. Club Chaplain Ryan Campbell is always available to chat about any issues players or officials might like to discuss (football related or not), his door is always open. The future is bright, the future is green and white.
