It was always going to be a mammoth task to pull off a shock at Inver Park on Saturday especially given the spine of our team was missing. The bhoys gave their all and kept going until the final whistle however the premier outfit were just different class and have spanked a few higher ranked teams than ourselves this season. We have had an excellent first half to our season and this minor blip will quickly be forgotten when we travel to Cookstown Youth to finally get back to some league action. For us supporters, the day will be remembered for the classy, warn welcome we received from the moment we got off the coach. From the Stewards, officials, fans and staff we were greeted with friendly smiles and genuine interest in and appreciation for what we are trying to do with within our own club. The transformation at Larne Football Club is magnificent, from the top to the bottom of the club everyone is pulling in the same direction and it won't be long before they bring a title or two back to Inver Park. With a much smaller budget, it might take us a little longer to get to where the premier league outfit are but they have showed us how it should be done and this experience has inspired us all the more.
