Celtic went in front after Kevin Lynch scored then Hanover equalised. Celtic went in front again after Emmett Templeton scored before half-time. Celtic went on to seal the win with goals scored by Darren Stewart and Brendan Shannon in the second half.

The reserves went in front after Christopher McCrory scored on the 21st minute and after this never looked back. Padraig Lynch added two more on the 32nd and 39th minutes then Darren Munster on the 42nd minute and the Evergreen Gerry Kelly scored on the 51st minute. Darren Munster scored his second goal on the 56th minute followed by Christopher McCrory on the 58th and 79th minutes to complete his hat-trick. The last goal in the game as scored by Padraig Lynch to complete his hat-trick on the 84th minute
