Matthew Fitzpatrick Signs For Coleraine FC

It’s obviously going to be a massive loss losing Matthew in the New Year but Belfast Celtic are fully behind his big move to Coleraine. It’s also a massive compliment to the team and himself that we have caught the attention of one the top sides in the Irish League. So Matthew and all the players should be proud. Fitzy has found himself up top in recent months from his usual midfield spot, scoring 7 times in 12 appearances. The gaffer believes that he has all the attributes to be a striker. "He’s quick strong, very good in the air and runs the channels excellently" says Mackers. "All the boys will miss Matthew and we will all be following his progress. He has all the skills to make it at the top. But most importantly he’s a great all round lad and will be sadly missed. Matthew knows in the future our doors are always open".

Don't worry though Celts fans we have plenty of firepower itching to fill Fitzy's boots in Kevin Lynch Francis Duggan and Darren Gallagher. The future is bright, the future is green and white!
